Our Multidisciplinary Team Model

Doctor-Led Rehabilitation. Structured Clinical Leadership

Medicess was built around a simple truth: Complex recovery cannot be managed by one discipline alone.

We embed medical leadership within an in-house multidisciplinary structure to ensure rehabilitation is directed, governed and kept effective from Day One.

Doctor-Led Direction

Every case operates within a doctor-led framework.

Our in-house doctors are embedded within our structure — not external advisors. They define clinical direction, review complexity, guide proportionality and ensure alignment with recognised standards.

Medical leadership is continuous, not occasional

In-House Multidisciplinary Team

Rehabilitation is delivered through an in-house MDT including:

  • Doctors
  • Therapists (OTs and Physiotherapists)
  • Nurses
  • Clinical Psychologist
  • Vocational specialists

All clinicians work within clearly defined scopes of practice under statutory professional regulation.

Active Case Governance

Each case is subject to structured clinical oversight.:

  • Progress is reviewed
  • Treatment is adjusted
  • Recovery assumptions are tested

Governance ensures rehabilitation remains appropriate, proportionate and aligned to patient need.

Independent Clinical Judgement

Medicess is wholly independent, with no financial ties to treatment providers or insurers.

Recommendations are based solely on clinical need.

Independence protects recovery integrity.

Built on Proven Rehabilitation Principles

Founded in 2004 and shaped by multidisciplinary rehabilitation principles pioneered at Headley Court, our approach is grounded in structured assessment, coordinated treatment and measurable progression.

Our model aligns with national clinical guidance, including NICE recommendations for complex trauma.
