Rehabilitation Funding

Progressing rehabilitation where funding is not yet in place

Rehabilitation can be delayed by funding decisions. Delay in treatment directly affects recovery progression and patient outcome

When rehabilitation is not funded, treatment is delayed, progress can stall and recovery may be compromised.

The Rehabilitation Funding Service removes that barrier, allowing treatment to begin and recovery to progress.

What the Interim Rehabilitation Funding Service Is

Our Rehabilitation Funding Service is a clinically led service designed to enable rehabilitation to proceed where treatment has been identified, but funding has not been agreed.

It removes delay at a critical stage by ensuring recovery can begin when it is needed — not when funding is eventually secured.

It does not replace the claims process or the need for interim payments. Its purpose is to allow rehabilitation to progress while funding issues are resolved.

In practical terms, it answers one question:

How do we progress rehabilitation when treatment is required but not being funded?

How the Service Works

Where our Initial Needs Assessment has identified rehabilitation, but the defendant does not agree to fund treatment, Medicess will step in to manage the rehabilitation and fund essential therapies.

Treatment is delivered through a focused, proportionate plan aligned to the INA, ensuring recovery can begin without delay. Funding continues up to the point where an interim payment is secured.
