Solicitor Portal

The Serious Injury Guide 2023, APIL Best Practice Guide on Rehabilitation 2024 and the Rehabilitation Code 2015 all stress that the appointment and instruction of rehabilitation and case management is the choice of the claimant. All too often this choice is denied them.

We have developed a dedicated suite of services for solicitors. These tried and tested services put you in control, delivering choice and best in class rehabilitation for your clients in the shortest possible timeframes.

Intermediate Track Service

Our intermediate track service dovetails into the new process, enabling you to position cases into the highest complexity band from day one. It also promotes higher-value cases out of the intermediate track and into the multi-track.

It starts with our doctors reviewing every new case and providing you with a FREE clinical report. The report will take 3-5 days and will provide:

This report is used to justify the case complexity, and the costs can be combined with your damages estimate. This will position the case into the correct complexity band attracting the maximum fixed cost for the case, whilst promoting the higher value cases into multi-track. The best results are achieved by obtaining the report BEFORE issuing the letter of claim, although the service will benefit your client at any stage of their claim.

Once a response to the letter of claim is received Medicess will:

We offer No Win No Fee INAs when the defendants refuse to engage with rehabilitation having admitted liability.

Multi-Track Service

Our Multi-Track service targets clients with complex and catastrophic injuries delivering the care and support that they need as soon as practicably possible. We see cases at any stage of the claim from pre-liability decision and any time after.

Our doctors review your client’s case together with any additional clinical information/reports you may have. They provide a FREE clinical report, within 3-5 days, which will cover:

Once you have considered our report, and upon your authorisation Medicess will:

Should the defendant refuse to engage, having admitted liability, we can offer single instructed No Win No Fee INA’s. This is used to further encourage funding or support an interim payment application.

For the best outcomes for your clients, refer cases as soon as possible in the claims process. It is proven to be beneficial to start liaising with defendants prior to a liability decision being made.
